The Flow of the Bond is the sixty-fifth chapter of the Cardfight!! Vanguard Manga, first published in Monthly Bushiroad magazine and later collected in Volume 11.
This chapter was adapted into episode 49 of the Cardfight!! Vanguard V Series anime.
Plot[]
Ezel, with Alfred and Ahmes at his side, watches as the dark planet Brandt rises over Cray's horizon. As Deletors begin to approach, he asks that the guiding light of Cray bless them in battle.
Meanwhile, on Earth, the Destiny Conductor grows angry that the Concertmaster is interfering even now, and the zombie Ren comments that he can still feel Aichi's bond with both his units and Cray itself. Aichi says that even if his connections have supposedly been erased, his deck still urges him on, his units continuing to give him strength. His turn begins, and with the support of Cray itself, he strides the grade 4 Arc Saver Dragon.
Using Arc Saver's skill, Aichi is able to refill his field, including returning Blaster Blade to his rear guard. He tells Ibuki that the Deletors can't truly erase anything, and he will always be connected to his friends and units. Ibuki is defeated with Blaster Blade's attack.
The fight ends, and an exhausted Aichi almost collapses, but is saved by Naoki. When Aichi smiles at him, Naoki is relieved to see that Aichi is back to his normal self. Ibuki, meanwhile, admits that his Deletors failed and that in the end, he is left all alone again, a cycle that will continue as long as the Vanguard that he hates so much still exists. Aichi reminds him that he turned to Vanguard itself to express those feelings, and says that in some way, he must really love it after all.
At that moment, Kai and Miwa finally arrive, Miwa saying that Aichi's words mean Ibuki hasn't changed after all. Ibuki asks them why they bothered to come, and Miwa simply replies that they're his friends.
