"Hayato Baba" is a side character in Cardfight!! Vanguard G. He is the younger brother of Takeru Baba.
Etymology[]
His family name, "馬場" means "Horse-riding ground".

He has a problem with his health condition, therefore, while he is bedridden, he asked his brother, Takeru to cardfight in his stead, by giving him his current Narukami deck. During the Regional Tournament, he met with Chrono by the vending machine, in which he tells Chrono that his brother will win if he fights with Chrono (Chrono did not know who is his brother at that time).
After seeing that Takeru lost his fight against Chrono (and subsequently breaks his promise to Hayato), he is upset, and vowed that he will avenge his brother in the future.
