Zero Tolerance Policy

In order to cut down on abusive language and racist terms around here, I will be incorporating a zero tolerance policy. Anyone found engaging in abusive behavior will be banned for 1 month. If you return from this ban and are still engaging in abusive behavior, that will be increased to 1 year. If you try to circumvent the ban, you will also be banned for a year. Even if we have to use IP Range Block. Any use of the word "jap" will cause you to be banned for three days. If you continue to use this racist term after coming back from a ban, that will be increased to a month, then three months, then 6 months, then a year. You have all been warned. IP Range Block

Hello, everyone. During the last few days, there has been a repeated and persistant attack on the wiki by an individual or individuals using multiple different IP addresses, flooding comments sections with pages of obscenities and vandalizing user pages. Since they were not registered with an account, there was no account to ban and since they were using multiple IP addresses, IP blocking was of no use either.

In response to this attack, I have been forced to take more severe action. I have blocked all IP addresses in the range which the vandal(s) was/were using. Registered users should not be affected and it should still be possible for users using IP addresses in this range to create an account; however, anonymous commenting and editing will no longer be possible. This was an unfortunate but neccessary course of action in order to keep the wiki free of abuse and vandalism. Spike Seyfried (talk) 15:43, May 16, 2013 (UTC)

New Template Added

Hikari 93 has kindly created another template. This one is called DamageAdder. Just like some of the others made recently, is a generic piece of text for cards with the ability to send a card from the deck to the damage zone for the turn. The template uses a single unnamed parameter that takes the abbreviation of said clan and replaces it with the clan name. The abbreviations are the ones use generally used on the site, for Aqua Force it will be AqF; MC for Megacolony; GE for Genesis and once more info is released, LJ will be used Link Joker (a no-brainer, I know). The template will be added to the more option for ease of access/use. NeonRiser2134 (talk) 21:14, May 8, 2013 (UTC)

Tournament Status Parameters

I've now added a tournament status section to the CardTable template. The new parameters are 'ocgstatus' and 'tcgstatus'. Next to each of these parameters, enter either: "banned", "limited" or "restricted" - "unrestricted" is displayed by default, so no need to add the parameters if no restriction has been placed. Limit Break and Heal Templates

Just like the keyword abilities, I've added limit break and heal templates as well. The heal one, just like the keyword ones, is straightforward. The limit break (template named "LB") takes two parameters. This is how the template information should be entered:
{{LB|damage (in numerical form)|skill type}}

For the damage parameter, since limit breaks are either 4 or 5, by default its 4, enter "5" for Limit Break 5. Concerning the skill type parameter, the template automatically changes what you type here to uppercase so no typing it in lowercase will suffice - it's also a parameter that needs a skill type to be entered manually, otherwise the skill type stays empty.

So, for example, I wanted a CONT Limit Break 4. I would type the template as such:
{{LB}||cont}}
Another example. Say, I want a ACT Limit Break 5. I would type:
{{LB|5|act}}

I plan to include tournament status for cards to the CardTable template very soon. I'll update as soon as its done.

EDIT: I liked to thank fellow user, Hikari 93, for creating the Persona Blast template for us. The template works similarly to the Limit Break one. The template and its parameter are as followed:
{{Persona Blast|skill type|cost (counter blast or soul blast)|limit break (optional)}}

The skill type parameter works the same as how the LB template works. The cost parameter works by entering the cost in this format: cb(numeric value here) or sb(numeric value here) - don't include the brackets. If the Persona Blast is the cost as a result of a Limit Break, then enter either "lb4" or "lb5", respectively.

Example 1: A Persona Blast unit with a Counter Blast(2) cost that derives from a Limit Break 4.
{{Persona Blast|auto|cb2|lb4}}
Example 2: A Persona Blast unit with a Soul Blast(1) cost.
{{Persona Blast|auto|sb1|}}

Keyword Templates

It has been brought to my attention that one of the keywords, pioneer, has been changed to "forerunner" for the English game and such changes may become tiresome to change for all instances on the wiki, so I've created templates for the all the currently known keywords. The template also contains the additional information that explains what the keyword skill is - so no need to type it out from now on. Since "pioneer" has been changed to "forerunner," all cards containing that skill will be found in the Forerunner template, and all templates can be found under the +more option.

Also, I've added an errata section, that won't appear on older pages until a pseudo-edit is made (just re-publish the page with making no edits).NeonRiser2134 (talk) 23:08, April 30, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Clan/Grade Breakdown Links

Hi guys! I've just recently changed the link colours on the first booster set page, so far; I plan to do the rest after writing this. I just want you guys to check the readability for me. If you find any still unclear, message me with any suitable colour suggestions. Also, I've added the html markup to the edit tools - available during source mode. NeonRiser2134 (talk) 15:09, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the Table of Contents

I've seen people asking about how to add one onto pages. There is a help page - that can be found here - that explains how to add one, and how it is automatically added when a page has three or more headers. For any page that has less than three headings, you can add one using the following:
__TOC__
Also, I've added it to the edit tools page, which can be found on the source view when editing under the +more option, for anyone that forgets. NeonRiser2134 (talk) 13:46, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

4000 Pages!

Hey everyone! I am pleased to announce that the wiki has reached 4000 pages. Keep up the good work, everyone. Spike Seyfried (talk) 22:20, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

EDIT: Also, 10000 images!

Regarding the use of a certain word

People have been using the word "jap" as an abbreviation of "Japanese". Please do not use this word. It is still considered racist and highly offenive to Japanese people. Any post or comment using this word will be deleted immediately. Please use JP or JPN instead. Spike Seyfried (talk) 15:32, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

The Wiki now has a Card Trading Center

It came to my attention in the increase of comments of users selling or trading cards on the card pages. I in fact find this system disorganized and therefore created a page where registered users can come to a central place to conduct business in selling, buying and trading. I am asking for the full cooperation for this new system from all users. The Cardfight!! Vanguard Wiki Card Trading Center is now opened, please abide to the rules.
