- Chrono Shindou wanted to use this name for the team thinking that "Stride" meant "Transcend" in English, when in fact, "Stride" is a verb that means "walk with long, decisive steps in a specified direction".
- However, the noun version of "Stride" can mean "a step or stage in progress toward an aim", which could be considered as having somewhat of a similar meaning to "Transcend" ("to surpass" or "go beyond the limit").
