Intro and basic analysis[]

While idol cards have been slowly revealed, there wasnt exactly any wow cards seen i ahwile, while starlight is definately good, and harri atleast decent, there wasnt really much that changed the general gameplay style, Well...until songer happened. This card completly changed how offensive you can play as granblue and its synergy with starlight and SeaWall. so it felt like a good time to analyse it

G-CHB03-005-RRR (Sample)

Diabolist Of Corpse, Songer

Im just gonna call it Songer to not trigger the filther...

Im actually suprised that this card exists at its rarity spot, simply cause it means that ruined the overall balance of generic and non generic  support they would give.

  1.  No GB Restriction: It a insanely powerfull first stride which can perform into several extra attacks off through chain skills,
  2. Versatility And Consistency: Most of the time, this will be a pretty safe stride in most situations with pretty good scaling into late game too, and simply cause of its timing, depending on what the opponent choses to do and if he checks triggers, you can always discard the card from hand you deem to be most usefull for the situation and call it.
  3. Immediate GB 2; not only is it a offensive first stride with consistency and versatility, its also enables gb 2 insantly which let you start using the NIghtroses gb2 immediatly and instantly setup up for Lily plays.

So While its a incredibly good stride, its important to note that it does end up becoming a minus 1, simply cause of the nature of hollow, but most of the time it isnt a problem. and while strong, its relativly simple and still needs atleast like 1- proper card in dropzone.

Scenario's And Synergy's[]

While the power it can give give in lategame can be absolutely devastating, it will most be used as a firststride most of the times. while the synergy with hollow is a given, it has a quite interesting synergy with the new nightrose, now lets imagine a scenario, opponent goes first, you have a seawall in soul, ridden canoneer, with king serpent beside it boosted by a grenache, by the next turn you have intercepted with the serpent and have 3 damage, ride OG nightrose and stride using starlight. using strider skill to call over grenache with serpent and calling a bone behind it, if you are really luck you ended up soul chargin another seawall, or depending on your decklist, you might already have milled one. and cause of serpent you now have 3 cb to use, attacking with serpent for 18k using bone to then call starlight. then cause use songer to drive 3, discard lazy from hand calling it imeediatly again using songer, then soulblast the seawall for cost, calling grenache it, then starlight calls the seawall forth by sbing the other one, giving you two attacks more on 17k and 21k, at the end of turn you proc the seawall to add it to hand and sbing the cannoneer. then gain all the cb back and a soul, then calls lazy back through the gb 2, now you have all your cb up again and gb 2 ready for lily comboes on lazy which can call the cannoneer in the soul.

Conclussion[]

So with the implementation of this guy...girl or whatever it is. while the maindeck wont really change much, the usage of the stridezone is going to chang, Alot. with alot of new sb users, i personally will cut down to 2 Goache to run 4 of this (there still need to be a little room for dragut and obadiah) And while i despise the card for what it stands for, it is insanely powerfull and i love using the card~~

Well i hope you like it, this is my first analysis i have made in this format, if you think im wrong or want to give helpfull tips for formating or something important i forgot. you are welcome to bash me, welp i hope you enjoyed reading~~
