Since I was very bored at the moment of this decks creation(in concept only)I decided to stave off my boredom by making a Phantom Blaster Overlord build. The changes in the deck reflect the changes in playstyle to make use of the main boss here and getting him on the field and making the most out of his menacing presence. Let's just say that a Shadow Paladin deck that plays Phantom Blaster Dragon, play VERY differently than one for Phantom Blaster Overlord. Since the static 13k makes it easier for this guy to defend,I didn't need 4 Perfect Guards and the focus shifting more towards PBO means less of a need for vanilla 8ks in way for Apocalypse Bat for a much better offensive from PBO himself. Nightmare Painter is great for putting PBD to Soul whether you missed the Cross Ride or you just want to skip it altogether for a 3rd turn 13k Vanguard.
Since the deck will have heavy Counter Blasting,I needed more Cursed Lancers. Vaha and Nemain would work together to draw my other copies of PBO to not only harass my opponent with(ala Ren Suzugamori style)but to fake out with whether I';m going to use my Persona Blast whilst keeping a good hand advantage. Also,I added 3 Masquerades for whenever I free like I have more than enough CBs and I want m Rear Guards to eat away at my opponent's Shields and/or sanity even further.
When you look into The Abyss and it looks back at you, will you blink? Mwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
So using the advice I gained from those who were in the comments section below,I made changes to add one more Nemain, get back Macha for Nightmare Painter recruiting, less Blaster Dark since the Cross Ride is all I really need apparently and I've added Arianrhod to make up for hand advantage. I can see why this build can be really fun to use.
Anyways in my latest build I decided to do away with the Blaster Javelins and Darks entirely to make way for 4 Arianrhods for drawing the right cards and 2 Gururubaus for the early game rush. I hope this new take on the build will work to my advantage.
